If you are a child in the Orlando area under the age of 18, and you do not obey your parents, your parents have the option under Chapter 984 of the Florida statutes to petition the court to send you to foster care.
If the court agrees with your parents, you will be taken in as a ward of the State and placed in the foster care system. Depending on the circumstances, you and your family may receive counseling to try to correct the problems or you may just remain a ward of the State until you reach the age of 18.
Of you are having problems with a child running away or acting out in a way that deems them to be beyond your control, call the law office of Finebloom & Haenel. We can help walk you through the process. Call us now, 407-218-6277.
